Tuesday 7/24/07- General Hospital

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

Sam is really transforming into a strong woman that could hold her own very well, I am impressed at how they are writing her character. The slap she layed on Carly was the icing on the cake, now all she needs to do is spread it by taking down Amelia and Elizabeth.

Man, Cody is a creeeepy guy, he has such a bizarre presence that he just makes you want to fear him. He’s got the look down, with those crazy eyes; not to mention a dark manner, but his character is not out of place, I like the uniqueness of his character. He sort of reminds me of the singer Daughtry, in a way.

Why doesn’t LuLu just move out of the Quartermaine mansion, she can live with Lucky, Nikolas, or even Carly. She doesn’t have to be suggested to the bizarreness of this clan. They try too much to parent her, when she can make those decisions for herself. I know she hasn’t had very good, consistent parental role models, but she is very independent and can get herself out of any bind.

This show was simple and okay; a nice consistent episode makes for a nice hour of drama, good show GH.

Tuesday 7/24/07- One Life to Live

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

What a relief that Todd is finally back, Miles is finally going down. It seems this harrowing experience has not destroyed his spirit, he is still the same old Todd we are used to. Unfortunately, soon he will have lingering feelings for Evangeline, but eventually he’ll get over them, like she’s coming back anytime soon.

How great were those scenes when Viki found out about David’s deception, it a perfect showing of raw emotion from Erika. When Clint came in to blab to Viki, the transformation of her feelings was so perfect, now that is how you collect Emmys. When she tore into him about how she thought he has changed, I was moved by her portrayal of her character, way to go Erika.

Tate was so creepy today, his prying into Layla’s life was so spine tingling. I cannot wait until he is gone for good, because his character, to me, does not do evil well. Looks like it is the beginning of a horrible hostage storyline, another bore fest.

This episode was alright with a few bright spots, maybe tomorrow’s will be more fast-paced and interesting.

Tuesday 7/24/07- All My Children

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

Today was great, I was very impressed with the content of today’s show; they perfectly started to tell the story of two separate crisis. It was very heart-wrenching to see Kendall is so much pain and that very soon she will have to prepare for more heartbreak. It has been very realistic in many ways, the emotions of the characters; but what really bothers me is that Jackson cannot see his daughter for what she truly is: evil.

This, in my opinion, could be the final nail in the coffin for Jack and Erica, they are already at odds over Greenlee as it is, this will make it worse.

Sabine Singh, strangely for me, gave a strong performance- this storyline is golden if AMC wants to get in the Emmy race next year. Even the kid who played Spike did well today; I was impressed on many levels with everyone’s performance.

Today was one of those consistently interesting shows and was wonderfully directed, keep it up AMC.

Thursday 7/19/07- General Hospital

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

I’ll start out saying that I loved Sam in all of her scenes today; she was so strong in standing up to Jason, she really held her ground. I loved that she said that all the love she has given him through the years, he has never given even a tenth of it back, that was awesome. I love that she stood up to Amelia and Elizabeth, she has been taking crap from the for too long.

It seemed to me today and in past days that they are trying to mold LuLu and Logan into a great supercouple. As much as they look like they could fit together, I really don’t see her clinging to him for the long haul; I like her with Spinelli. She is so much funnier when she is with him. Isn’t it weird that they have the same initials as the most famous supercouple, I found that odd.

The Coop/Cody/Logan drama is well; unfinished business of the war needs to be taken care of. It is so right because the horrors of this war has had a profound effect on Cody’s psyche and he must be confused about Logan. Or maybe Logan is the slime that he is and did something horrible, any way it turns out I will be tuned in.

The other stuff on the show was good and overall today was great, I am looking forward to Anna tomorrow, I look forward to it.

Thursday 7/19/07- One Life to Live

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

Finally the cat is out of the bag, Marty confessed; I am relieved now Miles doesn’t have any blackmail ammo. But of course, she won’t be guilty; the killer of Spencer really had some rage against him and she only knew him for that little while. I guess we’ll have to wait and see where this story ends.

The Viki/Clint/Sarah/Cris/Rex scenes were good and it was time she revealed herself; when her family finds out what role she had in Todd’s disappearance she will be disowned. It’s only the proper justice for her; but it bothers me that Rex seems so self-righteous in her telling about her role in Todd’s disappearance, he did something even worse, hiding his child. It just doesn’t seem right, he’ll get ostracized for what he did.

The Brittany/Starr scenes were fine; they just don’t play off each other role like a Viki/Dorian or Nora/Lindsay, but then again they’re only teens. So Cole’s role in the Todd switcheroo will be revealed, will Starr take him back? I think so, they will move on from this. It seemed Brittany was trying to do something right, but of course she has ulterior motives.

I loved that Todd called Dorian at the end, he’s finally home; certain Llanview citizens better watch out because he will be on the warpath.

Today’s show was good, now that Todd is on his way back; he will give this show its much needed boost.

Thursday 7/19/07- All My Children

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

Today was an alright show, the scenes in the car with the Fusion girls were cute but slightly unbearable. It was nice that they were singing Spike to sleep, but it just seemed another quick way for all of them to connect. I do have to admit that all three actresses have good chemistry and kept me from tuning out.

Erica and Jack seemed so cute today, it seems like they are headed to more wedded bliss. But with the upcoming storyline with Greenlee/Kendall/Spike, I think they will be thrown off track. There has been some bad moments in their previous relationships and they have moved on and I think that they will get through this.

I laughed very much when Adam referred to the “Cult of Carey” because it is so true on AMC. Many characters only get airtime to prop the Careys, the fact still remains is that they caused so much harm to the Kanes and they shouldn’t be applauded. They get their men sucked into blind loyalty for them and its great that Adam pointed that out.

I also liked the interaction with Jackson, Lily, Erica, and Sean; they are shaping up to be a good family, that I can look forward to watching.

Overall, the show was fine, nothing great; what I really am looking forward to is tomorrow. Those previews were explosive, I cannot wait.

Kelli Giddish (Di) is leaving the canvas, the show in the near future are going to test Aiden with Greenlee. I guess for a Aiden/Greenlee/Josh Triangle. Also Justing Bruening(Jamie) is leaving as well, as was previously speculated.

Tuesday 7/17/07- General Hospital

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

I have to admit that the Eli/Noah/Anna storyline is getting a little better with the proper writing; that is truly what makes something ridiculous, understandable. While it is very interesting that she is so invested in Eli, I think some more mother-daughter bonding scenes are needed with Robin, being she hasn’t known her for very long- being she is always on the run.

Why does Carly have to jump into everybody’s face, all the time, the way that she does. It is just tiresome, she must be bored since Jax is gone; why don’t you find something better to do. It boggles me that these people just don’t ignore her, it is none of her business, butt out. Today, it seemed to me that Sam has finally got her backbone, and I applaud her. Also, is it me or is Sam wearing the same shirt Carly wore a few days ago?

I also liked that Alexis consulted with Sonny on a new school for Kristina. They are sharing the parental duties, instead of her making up the final decision-which is very like Alexis. It was funny that she said that Kristina’s life depended on it, trying to scare Sonny.

I also loved the LuLu/Logan scenes; they are really starting to form into a really cute couple. They could have a very good staying power for many years to come; a super-couple in the making.

The other stuff was good and not overbearing; this show is improving and I would say it is the best, right now.

Tuesday 7/17/07- One Life to Live

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

It is becoming even more apparent like they are trying to make Miles a clone of Spencer’s, there is very little redemption for him. I could see him paired up with Natalie in a hot romance, but the chances of him succeeding as a viable character have been squashed. He is stringing Cole along as his little assistant, Cole needs to do the right thing, John will not let Marty go to jail, at least I think so.

Adriana is such a dunce, today should have been the day she found out he was racist. It was a blatant show of his real feelings when he was concerned about the funeral director’s heritage. She doesn’t even deserve Rex, he is much, much better when he is not moaning for his lost love with Adriana.

Why not give Tuc Watkins(David) a contract, he is so much fun and provides such a good sense of humor to the canvas, he is golden. Especially when they supposedly reveal that David is Buchanan, which he will surely love.

It seems even more bizarre that Layla would be defending Tate, it is just not in her character. Just a few weeks ago, she was very wary of him and told Adriana to not hang around him and now she is defending him. The writing for her character is weak and she doesn’t keep me interested.

The remaining part of the show was okay, nothing spectacular; hopefully, a better show tomorrow.

Tuesday 7/17/07- All My Children

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

I have to admit that I especially loved today’s episode for one reason: Erica. She was on fire today telling off Greenlee and Krystle, that is the classic Erica, we should see every day. How she was comparing Greens to a boa constrictor got me to giggle and calling out her rival, was so needed. Today was one of the best days that Erica exhibited her great grandmotherly intuition to take down Greenlee.

On the same note, isn’t it just dumb for Kendall to be so forgiving of Greenlee. It’s like she lost some brain cells or something, the woman tried to take your child- she is delusional and might try to kidnap Spike. I wish she could use some common sense to distance herself from Greenlee, especially at this time in her pregnancy.

Don’t you, as I, find it silly that Sean has to serve his community service at night, most of the time. It just bothers me- why not during the day, it just makes more sense.

Wasn’t it also laughable that Babe suggest she raise Jenny alone, I thought they were joking- but with soap operas, it might just happen.

The Lily/Ava storyline is so good, I have to say, that is one thing AMC can pull of well, more than other soaps-dual role storylines. It was especially touching at the last scene with them, I was almost in tears. She plays opposite herself so well, with the same height of emotion, it is just so good.

Overall, a fine episode with no Ryan(thank god) and less Fusion; it is much better than yesterday’s.
