GeneralHospital.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

GENERAL HOSPITAL
: Luke breaks into Ric’s office and finds his damaging file on Logan. Lucky asks Sam to be his date for the ball. Georgie is crushed when she hears Nadine accepting Spinelli’s invitation to go to the ball. Elizabeth and Lulu mend fences after Elizabeth reveals she knows that Lulu learned the truth about Jason being Jake’s father some time ago. After the ball, Nikolas wakes to find a dead person lying beside him. The clock is turned back 11 hours to see all of Port Charles readying themselves for the Black and White Ball at Wyndemere. Nikolas proposes to Emily, who happily accepts. Carly is intent on continuing her dangerous game of trying to lure out Leticia’s killer. Spinelli inadvertently pours out his heart to Lulu, thinking she’s Nadine, as both women are wearing nearly identical gowns. Ric is shocked to see Alexis attending the ball with Jerry. Robin watches Patrick enjoying the evening with Leyla. Elizabeth, Sam and Lucky witness Nikolas flying into a rage episode and going off on Emily. Sonny shocks Kate with the news that Trevor ordered the attempted hit on him in Puerto Rico.

SNEAK PEEK
: Ric clings to life.

This week on GH will shake Port Charles to the core, I wonder who the real killer is, saying Nikolas is just too obvious. I would like the killer to be Trevor, then that will be a good way to finally get rid of that character. I love epic events like this but it is becoming to be more like the Metro Court hostage crisis, they are almost mirroring the storyline. I am glad that Liz and Lulu will mend their relationship- I would like to see them as friends again. Jerry with Alexis is just a very sizzling combo- I hope the www.fictionscribe.com/weekly-writing-challenge-and-haitus/ have more in store for this duo. I wonder what will get Ric admitted to the hospital, my guess is either his life was attempted by the killer or Nikolas beat him down, anyways I am glad Ric gets to feel the pain he exacts on everyone. This week, and including all ABC soaps will be special, mark it down in the calendar!

One Life to Live Weekly Preview: 10/29-11/2

One_Life_to_Live_Logo.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: John and Todd are at each other’s throats as they head to Decatur in pursuit of Marcie. Harvey, now dressed in full drag queen regalia, stalls Ramsey and his men, while Clarence hustles Marcie and Tommy into the back room at the bar. Ramsey pushes past Harvey and comes face to face with Marcie, who is now disguised as a drag queen. Marcie is unaware that she’s on a collision course with John. Natalie is livid to learn that Jared has moved into Asa’s mansion. In Texas, Viki is touched when Charlie gives Shane some fatherly advice after the boy gets into a fight. Marty is unsettled when someone dressed as Death watches her. Rex privately panics when he mistakenly jumps to the conclusion that Adriana is pregnant. Talia’s crush on Antonio grows. John and Ramsey’s mutual hatred for each other stems from an event in the past having to do with the death of John’s former girlfriend. Alex Olanov seeks out David. Todd, Blair and Marty are stranded after their car breaks down. Dorian steps in for an absent Blair and petitions to become Langston’s foster mother.

SNEAK PEEK: Marcie continues to run.

I really like that OLTL is using John’s past to tie him to Ramsey, I really hope that the writers do not write Hunt Block into a corner on OLTL. So much happens this week, that I am intrigued to watch for a change. I wonder who Death could be that is watching Marty and Cole, it must have something to do with Marty’s exit in the coming months. My prediction and from what I heard, there is a chance that Thorsten Kaye might come back as Patrick- now wouldn’t that be fun? Viki is finally getting a real man, that can treat her right and one that Dorian will not be after, I am ultra-happy for that. OMG! Alex is back and she has her sights on David, this should be some entertaining drama in the coming weeks in Llanview, that’s for sure!

All My Children Weekly Preview: 10/29-11/2

AMC_LOGO.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

ALL MY CHILDREN
: Erica wants to rid Greenlee from Kendall’s life and asks for Adam’s help in getting her committed to a mental institution. Zach finds Kendall waiting for Greenlee in the park with a gun. Kendall admits to Zach that she wants Greenlee to pay for what she did, but she is ashamed at how far she’s taken things. Kendall appears to have abandoned her vendetta against Greenlee. Richie denies to Annie that he’s dying of leukemia. Ryan forces Richie onto a private jet to find out once and for all if Richie is really terminally ill. With Annie looking on, Ryan instructs the doctor he hired to draw a sample of Richie’s blood. Greenlee confronts J.R., who implies he knows where Zach has stashed her frozen embryos. J.R. infuriates Greenlee when he offers to hand over the embryos in exchange for all her shares in Fusion and gives her 24 hours to decide. Ryan supports Jonathan’s decision to marry Ava and wants his brother to be happy. Krystal tries to come to grips with her feelings after realizing that Tad spent the night with Hannah.

SNEAK PEEK: Richie is dying.

It is looking more and more like Greenlee is about to be gaslighted by JR and Zach-especially with the spoiler that Janet will make appearances this winter, it is inevitable. It think it will be fun seeing Janet and Greenlee roaming the halls of Oak Haven Sanitarium- now she’ll show Greenlee what crazy is all about. At first I thought Kendall was the one to go crazy but with these preview, I am convinced it is Greenlee. Richie is actually dying, whoa that threw me for a loop- so it seems he won’t be on much longer. So who does Krystal really love, I think the answer to that question is Adam and she only has those feelings for Tad because she knows that he’s Jenny’s father. It’s looking to be a wacky week in Pine Valley this week, I cannot wait!

So all ABC soaps (All My Children, General Hospital, One Life to Live) have hit rock bottom in the household ratings, what else is new? This was an inevitability with the recent trend of storytelling on soaps, it needs to change and change fast or else many soaps will dip into the single digit household ratings. I don’t think at this time that canceling any soap for that matter will help in any way at all, it would lower morale as I see it.

One Life to Live Star Arrested for Assault!

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

14251396451press1022200762520PM.jpg

Sunday morning was a doozy for one certain soap opera star; Nathaniel Marston, who plays Dr. Michael McBain on One Life to Live, was out of control and beat up three random people in NYC. Marston, who has had a history of anger management issues, having been arrested in 1999 for punching an ATM, went on a rampage, after what seemed to be a fight with a taxi driver, allegedly assaulting one man with a crate and breaking another’s leg.

Police suspect that Nathaniel seemed to be under the influence of narcotics, perhaps cocaine, and that he resisted arrest, fighting off the cops. He was charged with two counts each of felony assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon as well as one count of resisting arrest. He was taken to Bellevue hospital, where he was labeled an emotionally disturbed person. Sources state that the actor will most likely have lost his job at OLTL. He was suddenly fired with no explanation in 2003, but was rehired when fans wrote in protesting his dismissal. It’s doubtful, after this incident, that they’ll be yet another life for Nathaniel to live.

Here we go again with these soap stars out of control- I guess they are just like the rest of us, with just as many problems. I guess that means we will see another Dr. Michael McBain on our television screens soon- I hope they get a good actor for it. It’s just a shame that his whole career will be down the drain for this incident- another wasted acting talent.

The free fall continues with the ratings, there is no real boost in any soap, although the storylines are A+. I have an idea, with the dwindling number of soaps- I and others would love to view live episodes, now that would be very real. I would love if every soap opera would just devote an entire week to live performances- like soaps of old. But that won’t save this dying medium, it is doomed for failure. Especially ABC soaps, they are all around the same ratings number and thus are not cutting it.

AMC: Thu. 10/18- Reliving the Horror

Friday, October 19th, 2007

AMC_LOGO.jpg

How gut-wrenching was it today, when Greenlee had to describe in detail the accident that could have ended Spike’s life. What really got me was when she told Kendall the last words that Spike had ever heard- that’s what tugged at my heartstrings. I wonder what the writers are hoping to accomplish with this whole repair of their relationship, why not just let them keep hating each other forever. Their friendship, in the first place, had no depth- they were rivals for men and in business and I’m sure that doesn’t make them buddies. I have to say that I would hate for them to be friends in the end of all this heartache because if I were Kendall, I would never feel any pity for Greenlee for as long as I lived. And towards the end of the episode, Greenlee said a comment like having another baby will repair the wounds that she caused; yeah right Greenlee babies don’t grow on trees- and why oh why do you think that will be the solution to this problem.

I also wonder how Krystal could find Adam to be soulless, when she has the best case to be without a soul. She lies, cheats and stole a baby and that doesn’t warrant being a gutter wench, soulless bitch- she has to be the biggest hypocrite in Pine Valley. He may have made some rash decisions in time of need, but that was because of emotional hurt. She made it on alright after it- maybe it was time she felt what it was like to lose her child for that short time. You know what they say about karma that it comes back to get you when you least expect it, and it certainly did to Krystal.

How many brain cells does Babe have left- she was thinking about burning a Mickey Mantle baseball card that is probably worth more than she’ll ever be. Richie was smart in not taking it- because others would label him as a thief if they saw him with it. Like Little Adam needs the card, he is set for life for being a Chandler, everything will be at his disposal when he needs it. I think it would be wise to sell the card and put away the money for Jenny’s college fund or in a trust for Jenny for when she turns 21- now that’s using the money wisely.

GH: Would You Die For Love?

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Here a couple of videos of previews of the next couple of November Sweeps on General Hospital, and Port Charles sure will be rocked to the core. Per SID, Nikolas and Emily will hold a Black and White Ball for the hospital and to honor Alan Quartermaine. And, naturally, all hell will break loose. And, Guza will copy the Metro Court storyline and tell the storyline in reverse, hour by hour sort of like the FOX show 24. Anyways it looks very interesting and I’m sure it will get some lost viewers back on watching GH. Here are the videos:

OLTL: Tonja Walker (Alex Olanov) Returns!

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

8591668451press1017200760754PM.jpg

Alex Olanov, played by the wonderful actress Tonja Walker, returns to Llanview to revert back to her scheming ways with a little help from David Vickers (Tuc Watkins). As previously reported, current Desperate Housewives star Tuc Watkins will return to “One Life to Live” in November but he will have some interesting company in Alex. Alex Olanov was last seen at Asa’s funeral in August- where she found out that David Vickers was Asa’s long-lost son and I’m quite sure she’s milking this for all its worth. In her true fashion, Alex hunts David down and brings him back to Llanview, all the while determined to get her hands on his inheritance money.

Walker originated the role of black widow Alex Olanov in 1990. After leaving “OLTL” in 1997, she would return for brief appearances in 2001, 2002, and earlier this year in celebration of the daytime drama’s 10,000th episode. In addition to “OLTL,” Walker’s other soap roles include Lizbeth Bachman on “Capitol” from 1982-1986, Olivia St. John Jerome on “General Hospital” from 1988-1990, Marie Green on “Guiding Light” from 2003-2004, and Grace Nancier on “Passions” in 2007.

A former Miss Teen All-American in 1979, Walker earned the title of Miss Maryland USA the following year. Later that year, she finished seventh in the nationally televisedMiss USA pageant. Earlier this year she produced and co-starred in a Family Film, which also stars Bill Cobbs, William R. Moses, and “High School Musical’s” Zac Efron.

Look for Walker to briefly return as Alex beginning November 1st.

GeneralHospital.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jax explains his theory that Nikolas might have killed Leticia to Carly. Carly later arrives and pushes Nikolas toward a violent episode when she questions whether or not he could have murdered Leticia. Nick tells Emily that he’s going to have Patrick run every test possible to find out what’s wrong with him before he hurts someone he loves. Trevor hears Zacchara raging at his son and cautions Johnny not to disobey his father or innocent people will die. Elizabeth seems optimistic about the future, as Emily helps her move into her new house. Alexis and Diane are like two barracudas when they go to battle over Lucky and Elizabeth’s divorce. Patrick realizes Robin is going to ask Jax to be the father of her child and calls on Carly to nip those plans in the bud. Lucky and Elizabeth drift further apart when they fight over the children. Robin and Patrick continue to argue about her wanting to have a baby sooner rather than later. Robin sees Lucky as her next potential donor.

SNEAK PEEK: Logan tells Lulu goodbye.

Robin is really desperate to have a child and Jax would have been the perfect candidate , his genes are golden. Then when Carly coerces Jax to draw out, she sees Lucky as her next potential donor- very interesting being that this would be his first biological child. Why not ask someone like Ned, I wish he was still on full time- he was a really fun character. Diane and Alexis will do battle in divorce court- now that is must-see tv. The theory that Nikolas killed Leticia is gaining steam and it looks quite plausible; but then again Johnny is as good a suspect as anyone. I see so much potential for Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) and he could nab his fourth Daytime Emmy nomination and first win- he deserves it for his nice, long career in the soap operas.

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE
: A panicked Marcie hides with Tommy when Todd and his hired goons arrive at Ron’s and ransack the place. Todd finds no trace of either Marcie or Tommy, but he remains suspicious, as he warns Ron that he’ll be keeping an eye on him. Britney overhears Starr telling Cole that Langston’s parents have been dead for over a year and she plans to use it to her advantage before leaving for boarding school. Langston is taken into protective services. Jared maintains he owns the majority interest in the vineyard. Miles tries to come to Roxy’s defense when she’s badgered by some reporters, but he only ends up getting himself in hot water. Roxy suggests she and Miles do their community service together. Nora wonders if Dorian is coaching Lindsay when she learns Lindsay came out of her catatonia after a visit from Dorian. Bo assures Lindsay that he is on her side.

SNEAK PEEK
: Blair takes in another child.

I don’t think this will be the last we see of Britney in Llanview- she will come back from her travels more mature and ready to get Cole back from Starr. Portia Reiners, who portrays Britney, will not have this be her last soap opera gig- she has been on AMC and OLTL and I’m sure some other soap will scoop her up to add more to her resume. Then I see Miles forms a nice friendship with Roxy, at least I hope its a friendship because she’ll milk him for his money like she did to Max. Todd comes so close to finding his son, when he is so near- now that is just cruel, let the man have his son already. Lindsay is playing everyone in this murder confession, the real reason has yet to surface and I feel that it is a big one. I think Spencer did something personally damaging to Lindsay that would compel her to brutally murder him. And Blair adopts Langston- now Starr and Langston are sisters and she will be an honorary Cramer girl, she certainly acts like one.

All My Children Weekly Preview: October 15-19

AMC_LOGO.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

ALL MY CHILDREN
: Zach tells J.R. to sell Greenlee the story that Zach never destroyed Ryan and Greenlee’s frozen embryos, but rather stole them. Aidan questions the parents of a boy who drowned while on a scout trip with Richie. The parents explain how wonderful Richie was to them after the accident. Aidan learns that another boy came forward and claimed the death wasn’t an accident, but they dismissed him. Joe reveals that fluid has built up in Spike’s ears, and if it becomes permanent a cochlear implant will never be an option. Ava shows up for her photo shoot sporting a Mohawk and begins pulling her diva act. Babe and Amanda know what Ava is up to and threaten her. Ryan reminds Richie that he’s made sure no one in town will hire him. Ryan tells Richie he can either work for him or have no job at all. Adam and Krystal can’t keep their hands off each other, as their anger soon turns to passion.

SNEAK PEEK
: A party turns into tragedy.

What an interesting twist in the Spike storyline, now it appears that he cannot get those cochlear implants after all. That has so much future storyline potential for any actor, deaf or not, to portray such a character on a long running soap opera. Ryan and lovable brother-in-law Richie will be co-workers, I wonder what the employee benefits will be. Ava reverts back to her diva-like attitude and then the Fusion girls will sigh and not fire her- when there are many other options for a spokes model. Aidan finds out the truth about Richie’s role in a boy scout’s drowning death, it wasn’t accidental as first thought- so I guess we have a real psycho on our hands ladies and gentlemen. The sneak peek for next week is so cryptic, what party and what tragedy could occur?- Hopefully TPTB will not kill off more characters, death is going out of style on AMC.
