One_Life_to_Live_Logo.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Marcie panics when she realizes that Wendell’s service call has led them right to John, Marty, Todd and Blair, whose car has broken down. Marcie hides in a drainage pipe and is extremely grateful when Wendell deftly covers her tracks. John admits to Marty that Ramsey has a grudge against him because of a mistake John made during an investigation that resulted in Caitlin’s murder. John confesses to Marty that he’s contemplating letting Marcie go if and when they find her. Marty reveals to John that Patrick had been murdered. Cole returns home and encounters the person in the death mask. The Buchanan clan arrives at Asa’s Texas ranch for the reading of his will and meets Chuck Wilson III, the grandson of Asa’s former right-hand man. Dorian isn’t pleased when she calls Clint and gets Nora, instead. John and Marty make love. Rex and Adriana wonder what they would do if she really were pregnant. Alex accepts an unwitting David’s marriage proposal. Lindsay is touched by Bo’s concern for her, as they continue to grow closer. Viki is excited over her date with Charlie.

SNEAK PEEK
: Asa’s will is read.

What are the chances that the car that needs service has Todd, John and the funky bunch- soaps are just unreal sometimes. I could see John losing his job over this custody battle- he is letting his feelings interfere with the case. I also like that they are bringing up John’s past; I’ve always felt that I did not know as much as I should about his past. That will keep Agent Ramsey in Llanview for a while, hopefully. I absolutely love that they are mentioning Patrick again- now that is a blast from the past. You know what they say about characters on soaps, they can always come back from the dead. I have a sharp feeling that this Death character has something to do with the Irish mob ring Patrick was investigating in Ireland that resulted in his death.

It seems that Dorian is about to get the heave-ho from Clint, Nora is quickly closing in on Clint- and I couldn’t be happier. It just keeps getting better and better with Viki and her adventures in Texas- she is finally getting a real romantic storyline, something that we haven’t seen since the days of Ben Davidson. And it has finally come upon us, the reading of Asa’s will- I wonder who will get nothing and who will get a good chunk of his estate. I would love for the OLTL writers to write a will in which there are certain stipulations put on his inheritances given out- that would be so Asa. I am so excited that they are having Alex and David scam each other- they are a match made in heaven.

One_Life_to_Live_Logo.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: John and Todd are at each other’s throats as they head to Decatur in pursuit of Marcie. Harvey, now dressed in full drag queen regalia, stalls Ramsey and his men, while Clarence hustles Marcie and Tommy into the back room at the bar. Ramsey pushes past Harvey and comes face to face with Marcie, who is now disguised as a drag queen. Marcie is unaware that she’s on a collision course with John. Natalie is livid to learn that Jared has moved into Asa’s mansion. In Texas, Viki is touched when Charlie gives Shane some fatherly advice after the boy gets into a fight. Marty is unsettled when someone dressed as Death watches her. Rex privately panics when he mistakenly jumps to the conclusion that Adriana is pregnant. Talia’s crush on Antonio grows. John and Ramsey’s mutual hatred for each other stems from an event in the past having to do with the death of John’s former girlfriend. Alex Olanov seeks out David. Todd, Blair and Marty are stranded after their car breaks down. Dorian steps in for an absent Blair and petitions to become Langston’s foster mother.

SNEAK PEEK: Marcie continues to run.

I really like that OLTL is using John’s past to tie him to Ramsey, I really hope that the writers do not write Hunt Block into a corner on OLTL. So much happens this week, that I am intrigued to watch for a change. I wonder who Death could be that is watching Marty and Cole, it must have something to do with Marty’s exit in the coming months. My prediction and from what I heard, there is a chance that Thorsten Kaye might come back as Patrick- now wouldn’t that be fun? Viki is finally getting a real man, that can treat her right and one that Dorian will not be after, I am ultra-happy for that. OMG! Alex is back and she has her sights on David, this should be some entertaining drama in the coming weeks in Llanview, that’s for sure!

OLTL: Tonja Walker (Alex Olanov) Returns!

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

8591668451press1017200760754PM.jpg

Alex Olanov, played by the wonderful actress Tonja Walker, returns to Llanview to revert back to her scheming ways with a little help from David Vickers (Tuc Watkins). As previously reported, current Desperate Housewives star Tuc Watkins will return to “One Life to Live” in November but he will have some interesting company in Alex. Alex Olanov was last seen at Asa’s funeral in August- where she found out that David Vickers was Asa’s long-lost son and I’m quite sure she’s milking this for all its worth. In her true fashion, Alex hunts David down and brings him back to Llanview, all the while determined to get her hands on his inheritance money.

Walker originated the role of black widow Alex Olanov in 1990. After leaving “OLTL” in 1997, she would return for brief appearances in 2001, 2002, and earlier this year in celebration of the daytime drama’s 10,000th episode. In addition to “OLTL,” Walker’s other soap roles include Lizbeth Bachman on “Capitol” from 1982-1986, Olivia St. John Jerome on “General Hospital” from 1988-1990, Marie Green on “Guiding Light” from 2003-2004, and Grace Nancier on “Passions” in 2007.

A former Miss Teen All-American in 1979, Walker earned the title of Miss Maryland USA the following year. Later that year, she finished seventh in the nationally televisedMiss USA pageant. Earlier this year she produced and co-starred in a Family Film, which also stars Bill Cobbs, William R. Moses, and “High School Musical’s” Zac Efron.

Look for Walker to briefly return as Alex beginning November 1st.

One_Life_to_Live_Logo.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE
: A panicked Marcie hides with Tommy when Todd and his hired goons arrive at Ron’s and ransack the place. Todd finds no trace of either Marcie or Tommy, but he remains suspicious, as he warns Ron that he’ll be keeping an eye on him. Britney overhears Starr telling Cole that Langston’s parents have been dead for over a year and she plans to use it to her advantage before leaving for boarding school. Langston is taken into protective services. Jared maintains he owns the majority interest in the vineyard. Miles tries to come to Roxy’s defense when she’s badgered by some reporters, but he only ends up getting himself in hot water. Roxy suggests she and Miles do their community service together. Nora wonders if Dorian is coaching Lindsay when she learns Lindsay came out of her catatonia after a visit from Dorian. Bo assures Lindsay that he is on her side.

SNEAK PEEK
: Blair takes in another child.

I don’t think this will be the last we see of Britney in Llanview- she will come back from her travels more mature and ready to get Cole back from Starr. Portia Reiners, who portrays Britney, will not have this be her last soap opera gig- she has been on AMC and OLTL and I’m sure some other soap will scoop her up to add more to her resume. Then I see Miles forms a nice friendship with Roxy, at least I hope its a friendship because she’ll milk him for his money like she did to Max. Todd comes so close to finding his son, when he is so near- now that is just cruel, let the man have his son already. Lindsay is playing everyone in this murder confession, the real reason has yet to surface and I feel that it is a big one. I think Spencer did something personally damaging to Lindsay that would compel her to brutally murder him. And Blair adopts Langston- now Starr and Langston are sisters and she will be an honorary Cramer girl, she certainly acts like one.

OLTL: 10/12- Nora Hanen Gannon Buchanan Colson BUCHANAN?

Saturday, October 13th, 2007

In the first part of this clip, you could see a scene with Nora and Clint and the chemistry is undeniable. I could see them as a couple easily, maybe even marriage, he deserves so much better than Dorian and Nora is the one. They would be cute as a married couple, I’m all for that union, please TPTB make my wish come true and make them truly fall in love. It will most certainly cause fireworks between the Buchanan brothers but Bo seems more immersed in the whole Lindsay drama anyways. I don’t know, perhaps they can have something that can come between their bond as brothers because if my memory is wrong there hasn’t been one woman. That would be a fun storyline, if Clint begins to see Nora, will Bo get jealous or will he endorse this union entirely- any way it goes, I’m interested.

What is with this effort to locate Marcie and Tommy- they surely issued an Amber alert, why aren’t the efforts heightened. Seeing Ron again was refreshing, I always thought TPTB could have done something spectacular with his character other than be sitting on the sidelines. And couldn’t Kathy Brier (Marcie) calm her voice down, she was yelling out every word to her brother- I know she’s trying to play a crazy woman now, but she is overacting as a crazy lady.

Although I do not like Jared and his flimsy reasons for staying in Llanview, he surely is growing to be a member of the community. Getting to know so many people but for the most part making enemies- he’s fitting nicely into the fabric of that society. Natalie, Jessica, and Nash must treat him with more respect because he fairly owns most of the vineyard and can make all the crucial decisions about it. But why does he need the job at Buchanan Enterprises, he looks like he can afford to live well- maybe only to annoy the hell out of Natalie but otherwise grow up Jared, and stop hinging every decision on your past with Tess- you’re starting to sound like a broken record.

OLTL: Thu. 10/11- St. Ann’s Better Make Some Room

Friday, October 12th, 2007

One_Life_to_Live_Logo.jpg

Marcie is such a loon, thinking that she can successfully escape with Tommy and never get caught- like that will happen, Todd will spend every waking breath looking for his son. Marcie is truly nuts, she is devoid of any sane, normal thoughts anymore, St. Ann’s should make some room for her when she returns, she’s crazy. At least Lindsay is faking her condition, Marcie is the real deal- I fear for her. I was especially creeped out when she told them that Tommy told her that she should do this- cuckoo, cuckoo.

I really like seeing this side of Dorian, where she is very welcome to Langston and to the idea that she will adopt her. Langston is totally a Cramer girl, even more than Adrianna- now only if Adrianna will leave town and Langston can become Dorian’s true daughter. She was very brave to keep up that secret for almost two years, wow I could never keep a secret for that long! She should get grief counseling to deal with her parents’ deaths, she must be dying inside. I think her living with Dorian at her house, La Boulaie is a good idea because it will toughen her up and help her grow as a woman.

How nice was it to see Renee and Nigel today, I wish we could see them everyday. I especially love that she is so grandmother-like since Asa has died, she is the true Matriarch of the Buchanan family. She has been a hateful character in the beginning but has turned into a loving, great character that we all can relate to. Thankfully Nora and Matthew have decided to stay at the Buchanan mansion, the mansion would be so empty without them.

One Life to Live Weekly Preview: 10/8-10/12

One_Life_to_Live_Logo.jpg

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Todd, fearing he might lose his son to Michael and Marcie, suggests they all consider a shared custody agreement — but Marcie won’t even entertain the idea. Marcie remains angry at Michael for lying to her about how long he had known the truth about Tommy. Michael and Marcie’s world is shattered when the judge awards Todd custody of Tommy. Todd arrives to take Tommy, only to discover that Marcie has fled with the baby. Marcie arrives at her brother Ron’s house. Ron tries to persuade Marcie to return Tommy, but she only rails she can never go back to Michael, that she can never forgive Michael. Langston is blown away when Markko tells her that he loves her. Dorian informs Langston she knows her parents are dead. Dorian wants to take in Langston. Clint and Nora grow closer. Jared continues to antagonize Natalie. Sarah is thrilled by the coup she pulled off in getting the big name act to perform at Capricorn.

SNEAK PEEK
: Marcie starts a new life.

How on earth can that wacky judge give custody to Todd, granted he is Tommy’s father- his past should have been the nail in the coffin for him. In the real world, judges would never give custody to such a dangerous person, irregardless of if he is a great father. But I do not applaud Marcie’s efforts to keep Tommy, kidnapping is so overdone in this genre but I think OLTL can tell a compelling story. The fact that she will never forgive Michael adds a another interesting part to the storyline, she won’t even trust her soulmate. They have better not drag this storyline out until next summer because that is the length of normal kidnapping storylines in soaps and I tend to lose interest, fast!

The truth about Langston finally comes to the surface-her parents are dead and she’s been living on her own for awhile. She is very brave for doing this all alone, forging signatures and whatnot, basically taking care of herself- what a dependable girl. Trust me she’s better off on her own, without the influence of Dorian, she is just a disaster on two legs that is incapable of being a good mother. Dorian watch your back, it seems Nora and Clint are getting much closer- maybe she should have minded her own business and seen the closeness of those two. I can see them having an affair- he wouldn’t leave Dorian for Nora.

One Life to Live Weekly Preview: Oct. 1-5

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE
: Blair backs up Todd’s claim that they married out of love but finds herself on the hot seat when Judy begins to question her. On the witness stand, Starr gives a heartfelt plea as to how great her parents are, but Judy is quick to point out the flaws in their family. Will runs into Addie when he goes to St. Ann’s to visit Lindsay, who remains unresponsive. Nora wonders if Lindsay could be faking her breakdown. Lindsay seems to recognize Bo when he and Nora visit her at St. Ann’s. Langston becomes defensive when Markko questions her about her absentee parents. Michael perjures himself on the witness stand when he testifies he didn’t know Tommy was Todd’s son until recently. Marcie learns that Michael knew about Tommy’s parentage for a very long time. John and Marty kiss and continue to grow closer. Dorian realizes Langston is living alone. Miles tells Natalie that she’s taught him what true friendship is all about.

SNEAK PEEK: Todd wins.

I love how the writers have written Miles and Natalie as a genuine friendship, instead of instantly putting them in bed together, a job well done. Will Marcie turn her husband in for perjury, I don’t think so but Marcie doesn’t do well with keeping secrets, so let’s wait and find out. Todd wins, now that was a curveball- I wonder what will be the deciding factor, maybe Todd bought off the whole court, who knows?

Timbaland to Perform on OLTL

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Rapper-Producer Timbaland will make his debut on One Life to Live on October 9th performing “The Way I Are” along with Keri Hilson and OneRepublic. This is not the first time that One Life to Live has hosted a musical mega star, in the past two years Mary J. Blige and Nelly Furtado have stopped in. Here is the full article:

The long-running One Life to Live goes hip-hop and rap when music industry heavyweight, Timbaland, makes his soap opera debut on the show. The rapper-producer is set to guest star on the series apart from performing his recent hit, “The Way I Are.

Timbaland will entertain loyal viewers of One Life to Live on October 9, with a small acting part in that day’s episode, along with a couple of musical numbers.

He will perform “The Way I Are and “Apologize from his latest album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value, together with Keri Hilson and OneRepublic. In the One Life to Live installment, a girl by the name of Sara Roberts approaches the character Christine Vega in hopes of securing a job placement at the fictional club of Capricorn.

“This is a new experience for me,â€? Timbaland admitted in a statement. “I am looking forward to having a great time and sharing my music!”

While it may be a novel experience for the artist, it is not the first time that the soap has invited singers and incorporated performances into the storylines. Prior to Timbaland’s appearance, One Life to Live had already featured other big-name musical acts like Simply Red, Erykah Badu and Mary J. Blige.

For his part, One Life to Live executive producer, Frank Valentini told Allhiphop.com that “Timbaland has made a vast contribution to the music industry as an artist and producer. I am a huge fan of his music and we look forward to him appearing on our show.”

OLTL: Tue. 9/25- Why Nora?

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

0907 026_1.jpg

I am really asking myself, “Why in the world is Nora prosecuting in Lindsay’s case?” It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever given the history between the two, which all of Llanview knows of. I believe Dorian has no right to blame Nora for Lindsay’s breakdown, if she had one- she’s just the punching bag until Viki returns. In my humble opinion, Lindsay is faking this whole breakdown mess to either miss prison time or protecting someone else, like Marcie. The ultimate twist would be that Spencer did something to Lindsay, like say that he raped her instead of Blair, in his hallucinogenic state. If there is not a twist in this storyline, then I will not be interested at all- surprise us for a change.

About time for a Nigel sighting, I think he should be a more prominent character in Llanview- he can get back with Roxy, they were always a fun duo. Why in the world is he still serving the Buchanans, without Asa he seems out of place there. I heard from ABC Soaps In Depth magazine that Phil Carey (Asa) was spotted on set taping scenes for OLTL, so is he dead or not?

Justice in the OLTL world is so confusing, why did Jared get two years for his first offense of breaking and entering- my head is spinning. Afterall, there are murderers, rapists, thieves and whatnot roaming the streets of Llanview, so I must not be so surprised.

It was so refreshing to see David Fumero (Cristian) act very well today. Seeing him reeling from witnessing Lindsay’s breakdown was so realistic, I have to give him props for that. Cristian has such an interesting relationship with Lindsay, with her exploiting him and then they gradually grew to love and respect each other through his art. It was just precious today and I will mark this down as one of Fumero’s strongest performances.

What oh what could Langston be hiding, I wonder what happened to them. I don’t think they are dead but lately we haven’t heard about casting for them so maybe they are among the departed. I would love for her to be related to Starr, maybe a Cramer but even better if she was a Lord. It would be crazy if Victor was her father, wasn’t he alive until 2003- that would make her Starr’s aunt, crazier things have happened in this crazy town of Llanview.

One Life to Live Weekly Preview: Sept. 24-28

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

From Lynda Hirsch-

ONE LIFE TO LIVE
: Jessica is forced to confess to Nash about how she slept with Jared and then framed him as a thief and had him sent to prison. Jared warns Jessica that she’s going to pay for what she did to him. Jessica, Nash and Natalie try to explain to Jared that Tess, not Jessica, is the woman who set him up — but he isn’t buying it. Jared blackmails Jessica, warning he’ll turn her over to the police unless Natalie gives him an executive position at Buchanan Enterprises. Markko wonders why Langston’s parents are never around. John apologizes to Natalie, and they clear the air as they rekindle their friendship over a game of pool. Cristian is more affected by Sarah moving out than he anticipated. Adriana and Layla share a tearful goodbye when it’s time for Adriana to leave for Rex’s. Marcie is unnerved by Todd’s confidence. Miles is sincere in his desire for Marty to be happy, even if it is with John. Marty is clearly attracted to John. Clint invites Nora and Matthew to move into the mansion permanently. Talia backs herself into a corner when she agrees to introduce Antonio to George, her mythical boyfriend. To help Todd win the custody suit, Blair agrees to marry him — but her “I do” costs Todd a lot of money.

SNEAK PEEK: Marcie learns Michael’s secret.

What a nice nod to history for Natalie and John, when John came on the scene- he was undercover as a pool shark with the FBI. Talia sure got herself into a sticky situation with Antonio, hopefully she can come clean to him so they can finally be a couple. Todd and Blair marry for the 6th time or so- there better be a good payoff for this obvious plot device, they’re soulmates after all. Jared needs to forgive and forget, he’s looking better since leaving the clink, move on buddy.
