Today is Anthony Geary’s 60th birthday. We all know him as Luke. The half of the legendary Luke and Laura pair. A very well respected, admired and much loved actor by peers, co-workers and fans alike. 60th birthday, WOW. He doesn’t look like it. Still a wise-cracking intense with so many layers character Luke that we’ve all come to love. Happy Birthday Tony!

He’s an ass too. I saw him on a KLM flight on his way to his spring trip to Netherlands this June. Kept to himself and stared daggers at me when I dared take a picture of him while sitting in my seat with the flash turned off. I didn’t bother him before, during or after the flight. Asses like him need to realize that being rude to people who watch the show and essentially give him the leverage to pay for his damn first class ticket twice a year and demand and get all that time off should not act that way; especially when they go out of their way to respect their privacy and keep a one-shot photo very low key (and no; I’m not Papratzi…just wanted to show the picture to my husband to “prove” he was on the flight!!!”

Someone should really get rid of the first three posts. They’re OBVIOUSLY from the same bitter, loony “fan” obsessed with Mr. Geary’s sexuality. Probably Ms. “One fry short of a Happy Meal” CeeJan from Soapzone and numerous Luke and Laura messageboards. Alternatively, it might be one of those dried up, entitled, old hag conspiracy theorist Stefan fans that Stephen Nichols uses to further his career (like his fanclub president.)
I’m happy Geary is still on the show. GH wouldn’t be the same without him (just like it’s not the same show without the lovely, luminous Genie Francis.) I don’t care if he’s gay or straight. I don’t care if he shoots daggers at people that take pictures of him on a transatlantic flight without asking or blows them kisses and thanks them effusively for “being such a great fan!”. He’s still one of the best actors in daytime and Luke Spencer is still one of the most complex, fascinating and compelling characters in daytime. That’s good enough for me.

Finally - I am NOT the only person who thinks that Tony is a terrible actor. Moreover, him playing a heterosexual is sooooo laughable, as it is ridiculously obvious that he cannot even kiss women, without wanting to throw up. My gaydar is excellent and I spotted him years ago (prior to the hair cut and earring – that just confirmed it).
