OLTL- Tue. 8/14- Ante Up

Today’s show primarily centered around Casino Night which set up all kinds of great scenes today. First off, the always interesting Viki/Dorian feud- Dorian sure knows how to play a mean game of poker. I really don’t like that they have Clint be the prize in all this, because if Viki is still after Clint after he dumped her, then this really isn’t the Victoria I grew to love. It is all about Dorian winning it all and making sure that Viki knows it. Pretty soon Viki will get the upper hand and she will get even with that witch, Dorian.
How dare Clint call his granddaughter spoiled, look at his daughters they are spoiled up to their eyelids. He makes excuses after excuses for them being that way- why give Natalie a job she clearly doesn’t have any experience in, oh yeah its because you want to give her something useful to do. And Jessica has never, from what I see, worked for the money she possesses- she should get a job and live off it like the rest of us. It’s always nice to have a family with vast wealth but sometimes you have got to be self-reliant and try to earn your own way in this world. If he spoils his daughters then why not his granddaughter- he must have been drunk or maybe some of Dorian is starting to rub off on him.
How can John even think that Marcie is a killer- I mean she is rather attached to Tommy but she wouldn’t go as far as to murder Spencer. If she had any clue about Tommy’s real parents she wouldn’t have the Mannings anywhere near Tommy. I mean she let’s Starr babysit him for crying out loud and didn’t she learn from her own serial killer experience that killing is not the answer.
The potential for a Natalie/Blair feud is intriguing because they have so much to hate each other for. One is obviously Miles, which Blair for a good reason despises and Natalie vehemently defends. Another is that they are kinda like the same, so they clash- they are the manipulative outsiders who have turned to men of questionable natures(Miles and Todd). But they both have a warm, caring side about them that you have got to appreciate.
Nothing otherwise noteworthy of today’s eppy, I have to say a very well directed episode.
