Thursday 7/12/07- All My Children
Today was Jenny’s christening on the beach. Now I was very surprised that they used Ruth Martin as much as they used her today, it really was a delight. Not only her but the other vets that were on today, it was very refreshing and heartwarming, now that is what AMC is known for, their rich history. It was also nice that they remembered Jenny today, the flashbacks were great as was the speech Tad made about Jenny. I also liked that speech Joe made about Tad, it was very sweet; this would have been perfect if it was the 4th of July episode, so family oriented that it would have worked out.
What is with Jonathan, picking fights and what not; it seems he is reverting back to evil Jonathan-cool it man. It just seemed like those scenes with him, Del, Di, and Aiden were out of place. It was an episode more devoted to vets today, than the Ryannie/Greenlee stuff, we are regularly subjected to.
The Jack/Erica scenes were also good, because it was sexy, romantic and fun; just like the old days of this supercouple. I don’t even mind that Barbara is trying to interfere, as long as the vets are used I’m happy-her scheming is almost funny in a way.
It is about time that Jamie and Babe get together, not only because they’re married in real life, but because they seem so good together. Now there is no obstacle in the way, the path is clear, I could see them engaged by Christmas-one of the Christmas surprises we are so used to.
Jamie as godfather and Colby as godmother. Isn’t that sweet. I love it how everyone was so happy for each other. It was a definite change of pace, I would love to know who wrote today’s episode because I have to thank them for a wonderful hour of entertainment. I loved the ending the best- a toast to family.
