Wednesday 7/11/07- General Hospital

by Antony Meradi

Today was okay, especially good because of the Alexis and Jerry scenes, he kind of calms her down and we get to see a different kind of Alexis which is nice. He certainly fits the mold of the type of guys Alexis is into: bad boys; its almost like she has some schoolgirl crush on him. What bothers me about this pairing is that he seems to have a thing for Carly more than Alexis. It is a little strange being that he is the one who nearly killed her friends and family, but with GH that is acceptable, I guess. Those scenes today were golden; Carly, Jerry, and Alexis are a great comedic trio. I look forward to more scenes between these great characters.

Lainey and Stan have to be the most boring couple on the show, no offense to the actors but there doesn’t seem to be any type of magic between them. While I am happy they are giving them airtime, I just look the other way when they come on. Stan is a little funny but Lainey by far is boring and that is what makes the pairing bad, it is like she has no personality. Hopefully on GH: Night Shift, they will at least be entertaining.

Lulu seemed very rude today at the club, the guy just said he had a better seat up front, she didn’t have to say, “I hope you enjoy it with your mommy?” It’s great that Georgie was on and that she had a very warm conversation with Skye, which is what this show is missing those great convos with friends in the cafeteria like in the old days.

I really did enjoy the Sonny/Max/Carly scenes, it really tells of Sonny’s relationship with Max outside of the whole mob stuff. It was a change and I liked it.

Today was also great because it also showed many strong females bonding, which is very common for daytime t.v., that has been gone from GH.

Thank God Cooper shot Logan, LOL, he really believed that he wouldn’t pull the trigger, he sure learned a lesson in trust today. He did the right thing, he shot first and inquired later, now that’s being a smart cop. I guess you could say shooting him was good because Logan would have went into and fight, fight, fight; so it was to save his hide.

The Quartermaine scenes were boring, once the WTD storyline is over, I would love for Monica and Jason to bond more as a family. That would be on my wish list of storylines for the future. But knowing these “great writers”, it will be awhile until we see that, it doesn’t boost the ratings but it really is heartwarming.

The other stuff with Robin/Patrick and Ric and such didn’t keep me tuned, it was a boring episode for the most part, hopefully better tomorrow.
